Installation in a Manufacturer’s Purchasing Department | Hoffman
We have another project to present. The client wanted to refurnish their purchasing department with the open concept being a priority, but could not sacrifice workspace to attain it. Knowing this, we looked at all of our options from multiple manufacturers, and none of them had the ability to do what we needed to do. So we started diving into specifics on height and length and found out that we could build what we needed best from parts sold by National Office Products, so we decided to go with them.
We have taken their Epicenter series and used the tops like a desk, attached another top to them with a pedestal, and created a return out of it. When done on all 4 tops, the resulting “X” configuration is sturdy and maximizes work space in each office. The lower divider across the center provided the office boundary for one side of each office, and the added privacy panel we attached to the other side sectioned off the other side while promoting collaboration on projects. We added a custom-ordered organizing tower, including two drawers and a side-facing cabinet, to each office in order to retain the storage space the client needed.
The finished product is functional in workspace, storage, and collaboration. As an added bonus, the power outlets are situated just above the work surfaces, making access to them even easier than before. The end result is a contemporary office that is inviting for the workers as well as functional.
From parking to departing, the entire installation took us about 5 hours.
