January Furniture Installation of the Month | Hoffman

This month’s Furniture Installation of the Month comes to us from Jasper, Indiana.  In it, we were asked to provide seating for the waiting area of a clinic.  This particular clinic expected people of all sizes and heights, so a variation of options were needed to accommodate everyone.

 

The chair seats and backs are made from a vinyl designed for healthcare use, while the frames were made of wood and stained with a dark cherry finish.  The standard chairs were manufactured and assembled by National.  Each chair had a polycarbonate arm cap to make cleaning them with antibacterial cleaners effortless.  Also featured here are bariactric chairs, or wider chairs designed for those who don’t fit comfortably into a standard-sized chair.  These were also made by National.  The variation in height required a different chair frame, and LA Z BOY made these chairs for this project.  They feature a metal frame stained black, and the chair seat and back remained exactly the same fabric and color as all the others in order to match the standard chairs.

Also on this installation was a small meeting room requiring a table and four chairs.  The chairs were the same as those bought for the waiting area, and the table was made by National.  This particular table was made from wood with a laminate top and had a 42 inch diameter.  The base, weighing over 150 lbs, prevents this table from tipping over during use.  The table and base were stained in dark cherry.

This installation took us approximately 3 hours from arrival to trash removal and exit.
